The above images are all of a variety of TEACCH tool boxes which are in use in my personal classroom. The pegs in the 4th picture is a favorite task of one of my vision impaired students. At first, I did not think he could complete this task, but he is very determined and now enjoys the task. This task, even for a vision impaired student helps with eye hand coordination. Teacch task boxes allow the students to complete task that often do not require reading and writing, simply following directions and completing in sequence. I am fond of the boxes because of the fine motor skill development that students acquire while completing the task.
